Damri MMA was built on the idea of family and community. Community is integral to every organization and Damri is no different. Part of that community includes the ability to come together in times of crisis and distress. Conrad and his family have been members of Damri for two and a half years. A great husband and loving father figure to his children, Conrad embodies all the values of Damri MMA. When his son asked him to join him in jiu jitsu training he immediately stepped up, providing a positive example for his son.
Tragically last week, his doctor informed him that he has developed cancer of the blood and would need to undergo major surgery and begin three phases of chemotherapy. Devastating to him and his family, Conrad now faces the financial burdens of cancer that anyone who has either had cancer or known someone with cancer, is all too familiar with. Fortunately, Damri is committed to building community and supporting one another and does all it can to help support those within our community and making sure their needs are taken care of.
That’s why Damri will now be creating a sponsorship for Conrad so that he may continue his training there without worrying about the cost. Most of all Damri’s profits go toward fundraisers, donations, and free training for law enforcement and others without financial means to train with us otherwise. Conrad has been a beloved member of our community and we welcome the opportunity now to support him and his family by making sure he can continue doing what he loves.
This Saturday, September 28th, we hope you will join us for a special fundraiser to help cover the costs for Conrad to continue training with us. The event will run from 9 am – 11 am with coffee vendors and taco vendors. A portion of the proceeds from the vendors, each will go toward our cause to help Conrad and his family during their time of need. This event is sponsored in part by; Gold Level Media, Solar Fuse, Vega Print, Ruf, Cleanest Panels, Vision Air, Ona Euro Salon, and Team Janette Real Estate, Jason Smith of Nova Homes, Sal’s Tuscan Grill, Bella Luna restaurant, So Fresh So Clean, The Polish American Chamber of Commerce AZ, and Hickman’s Family Farms. We hope to see you there as we come together to help one of our own.
Donations are also being accepted on Damri’s GoFundMe page.
