Come spring of 2023; a massive waterpark hotel hybrid is set to open up near Glendale’s Westgate Entertainment District.
Previously given the name Crystal Lagoons Island Resort, VAI Resort was supposed to open before February of 2023 to coincide with the Super Bowl, which will be at Glendale’s State Farm Stadium.
While it will take a bit longer for the waterpark hotel to open up, guests can start getting excited about its several entertainment options.
VAI Resort Waterpark Hotel
The VAI Resort Waterpark Hotel will feature more than 1,200 luxury hotel suites, 13 fine-dining restaurants, a 360-degree concert stage, and a top-tier waterpark with tropical blue water and white-sand beaches.
The management at VAI Resort wants to have more than 100 annual events take place on the resort’s stage.
Grant Fisher, president of VAI Resort, noted that he had always wanted to bring many of the best attractions from around the globe straight to the heart of Arizona. With VAI Resort, it’s becoming a possibility.
Guests will find modern attractions like they’d find in Dubai, parties, and concerts as they’d find in Las Vegas, and beach-like amenities that they’d find in Miami.
Top-Tier Amenities
One of the other top-tier attractions of the resort, which will sit off of Cardinal Way and 95th Avenue, is the 52,000-square-foot island.
Beyond that, hotel guests will get to enjoy 40,000 square feet of meeting spaces and ballrooms, a wedding chapel, and a 20,000-square-foot spa and wellness center.
If guests want to see the valley from a unique angle, they can book a ride on the 400-foot tethered balloon.
Many Arizonans are happy to know that the resort will house Mattel Adventure Park, which is a family-friendly attraction for all.
All of these amenities are set to create over 1,800 jobs for Valley residents.
360-Degree Immersive Concert Experience
One thing Mr. Fisher is excited about is the 360-degree concert experience. This unique setup is set to attract acts from all across the globe. The stage itself was designed by TAIT, one of the best teams of producers, technologists, and engineers in the world.
Concertgoers will be able to watch these shows from the comfort of their balconies, as the hotel features 170 suites that face the stage.
Howard Weiss, Vice President of VAI Resort Entertainment, notes that TAIT is a “standard” for world-class concert experiences. The team has no doubt this setup will help them attract some of the biggest A-list performers from around the world, including DJs, bands, comedians, and more.
In all, VAI Resort will be an immersive, all-ages playground made for the enjoyment of locals and tourists alike. Families will be able to enjoy endless activities and amusement when staying here.
As of now, VAI Resort is set to open in the latter half of Spring 2023 and will be the largest hotel and resort in Arizona.
