A new sip coffee and beer lounge is coming to Phoenix! 36 Below, will open in Phoenix later this year.
When customers enter the sip coffee & beer and descend the staircase into 36 Below, a martini bar that will take over the UnderTow space below sip, they will encounter a completely different atmosphere to the one above.
36 Below’s owner Josh Katz partnered with Maurice “Moe” Murillo and mixologist Sheldon Wiley to create this new concept. Originally, they had hoped to open in March, but with design changes and permits, the new opening date is sometime this summer.
The concept of the new sip coffee and beer bar coming to Phoenix, shared with ABC15, shows a nine-seat rectangular bar with some tables and banquette seating. There will be five 75-inch commercial-grade screens along the wall that feature images and audio effects to transport customers to different places each season — so you can always expect a unique experience. The first destination is planned to be Flagstaff.
The menu is set to feature a mix of martinis, elevated classic cocktails, and Bespoke cocktails, or customized drinks depending on someone’s mood and preferred spirit. With a mixologist on the team, they also plan to have fire, smoke, or foam with some cocktails for “molecular mixology.” The menu will also have some wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options.
They also plan to open a connected room at the cocktail bar for larger groups and private parties at some point in the future.
