Phoenix Suns Acquire Chris Paul From Oklahoma City Thunder In Trade

On Monday November 16th 2020, The Phoenix Suns acquired All-Star guard Chris Paul in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Suns also received forward Abdel Nader.

The trade also offered the Oklahoma City Thunder to receive Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque and a 2022 first-round pick from the Suns.

Chris Paul is a Phoenix Sun! Yes, it is true. It actually happened. And for the first time in a long while, an All-NBA player is now a Phoenix Sun alongside Devin Booker.

So what now? Well, hopefully some more upgrades will come with the Draft on Wednesday and free agency starting on Friday, followed by training camp in two weeks. With that being said, it is a great time to be a Phoenix Suns fan right now as we go into these next two weeks with great admiration and hopes to acquire more weapons on the roster.

With Chris Paul coming on board with the Suns, the team is going to be projected as a playoff team heading into the 2021 season. The critics will position them at 7th or 8th for the playoffs, based on the team’s recent track record. The rest of the fans will however, will position them in the home-court advantage race, say 3rd or 4th seed. Either way, this comes as good news as fans are rejoicing from around the league simply just to see Devin Booker and Chris Paul play together.

So, it’s time for Suns fans to rejoice and be happy for the future. Most of you have been, but it’s been a long decade. It may require a change of thinking, but it actually feels good for once.

The time is no longer in the past. The time is NOW!
