With new developments popping up every day, the restaurant scene in Downtown Phoenix is expanding. Almost every corner in Downtown Phoenix will soon be equipped with a restaurant, whether new or old, making it an excellent place for foodies.
Without further ado, here are four of the best new restaurants and bars in Downtown Phoenix that stand out among the rest.
Motomoto Sushi & Izakaya
You can find Motomoto Sushi & Izakaya on the ground floor of the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Phoenix. Akira Nakasu and Eddie Chow of Jin Hospitality are behind this beautiful new sushi restaurant. They came up on the food scene years ago with the opening of Nanaya Japanese Kitchen in Arcadia.
You’ve likely seen ‘Izakaya’ marked on other Japanese buildings, which is just a name for a Japanese tavern. You’ll find plenty of good eats at Motomoto, including sushi, tapas-style snacks, homemade ramen, cocktails, and sake.
ATL Wings can be found at 330 East Roosevelt St. This locally family-owned and operated restaurant got its start in Chandler back in 2021. The owners recently decided to make a move to the Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix, one of the best up-and-coming Phoenix neighborhoods.
ATL Wings is known for serving up fresh and never frozen chicken wings, giving customers more than 20 delicious sauces to choose from. The ‘ATL’ in the name stands for “All The Luv,” which the owners note is put in every menu item, including the delectable wings, classic sandwiches, and delicious Kool-Aid.

Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen & Bar
Head to 201 South Fourth St. to get a taste of some of Guy Fieri’s favorite bites. You’ll find this kitchen located just adjacent to Chase Field in Downtown Phoenix, where you will also find the brand new location for Caesars Sportsbook, the biggest retail sportsbook in the United States with a major sports stadium partnership.
The kitchen certainly isn’t for the faint of heart, as you’ll find all of Fieri’s favorite gut-busting goods. You’ll find his award-winning Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheeseburger and a crowd favorite, the Trash Can Nachos. Fieri partnered up with the chefs and owners to help design the restaurant inside and out. The kitchen is currently led by locally-renowned food master, Executive Chef Kayla Laasko.
While it’s not a first date spot, it’s great for having a beer and enjoying some good old-fashioned greasy food.

The Rose Garden
If you feel like stepping into something a bit fancier, we recommend heading to 101 North First Ave. to check out the newest cocktail lounge in Downtown Phoenix — The Rose Garden. Here, you’ll find the perfect date night atmosphere and an air of elegance.
Additionally, when you get there, make sure to ask about the big peacock at the heart of the restaurant.
