Phoenix is one of the better places to celebrate the 4th of July. Whether you are single, have a significant other or a family, you will be able to find something fun to do on America’s birthday in the Valley. Here are the top events in Phoenix for July 4th to go to.
Watch the Diamondbacks’ Fireworks Show on the 5th
If you can wait an extra day for your fireworks fix, head on over to Chase Field in downtown Phoenix (401 E Jefferson St., Phoenix) to watch the Diamondbacks take on the Colorado Rockies at 6:10. The game will be followed by a “Fireworks Spectacular” presented by Gila River Hotels and Casinos. Even if the Diamondbacks lose against the hard-hitting Rockies, fans will still be treated to colorful fireworks featured high in the sky above the stadium’s retractable roof.
Fabulous Phoenix 4th
If fireworks are your thing, you will feel right at home at Steele Indian School Park. Head on over to 300 E. Indian School Rd. this July 4th and you will be treated to a glorious fireworks display. The only catch is alcohol is not allowed at Fabulous Phoenix 4th. The event features live entertainment, an array of vendors, tasty food, interactive exhibits, arts and crafts and even a classic car display. If you have little ones, they will have an absolute ball at this event. Fabulous Phoenix 4th features inflatables, rides and a water spray zone.
Celebrate America’s Birthday at Lake Pleasant
Lake Pleasant’s annual 4th of July celebration will prove memorable for the entire family. The fireworks show starts at 9 p.m. However, those with kids are advised to show up hours in advance as Lake Pleasant’s holiday itinerary is chock full of fun activities ranging from bounce houses to water slides, delicious food truck fare and live music.
Anthem’s Independence Day Celebration
Throw a few lawn chairs and blankets into the trunk, head on over to ACC Community Park at 41730 N. Galvin Peak Parkway and take in the visual splendor of this beautiful fireworks display. The Anthem Independence Day Celebration also features an array of activities, rides and delicious festival treats the entire family can enjoy.
Head on Over to Tempe for the Town Lake Festival
The 20 minute jaunt to Tempe is well worth the drive. Tempe’s Town Lake Festival will feature a “Fireworks Spectacular” set to music including patriotic tunes, country songs, pop hits and more. It all goes down at Tempe Beach Park located at 620 N. Mill Ave. in Tempe at 5 p.m.
The 4th of Zooly
The Phoenix Zoo might seem like the last place that would host a 4th of July event. However, the zoo’s 4th of Zooly event is likely to prove uber-popular, especially for those who have children. Bring the family over to 455 N. Galvin Parkway, enjoy some tasty summer BBQ and take in the beauty of the Tempe Town Lake fireworks.
