What Can Locals Expect From New Hance Park Revitalization Project?

These green garden spaces will make the Downtown Phoenix area more livable. Plus, it will help to revitalize and bring change to one of the most iconic parks in the city. Mayor Kate Gallego notes that Phoenix looks forward to their continued relationship with the team at Republic Services, as she is confident they can make a significant difference in the lives of Phoenix locals.
This will be an urban space that anyone can enjoy.
Restoring The Park for Better Cultural Life in Phoenix
As the country’s fifth-largest city, as well as one of the fastest-growing large cities in the country, new developments like this, are crucial. New Hance Park has a whopping 32 acres of space. It lies smack dab in the middle of one of Phoenix’s most important cultural, arts, and educational spots.
In many ways, this park acts as the heart of Downtown Phoenix, serving as an intersection between various neighborhoods and restaurants.
The $2 million sponsorship from Hance Park is one of the largest contributions for this project thus far. The commitment is a great start for the $45 million project to revitalize Hance Park in full.
Construction is already well underway for the one-acre Republic Services garden. The garden will lie just east of the splash pad and playground.
