From hip-hop to R&B and pop music, most of the major venues have some sort of national musical act coming through during the month of July. And, lucky for you, there is so much music coming up that you could literally spend every weekend evening checking out a new musical act.

Gila River Arena

Shawn Mendes, the Canadian singer-songwriter tearing it up on Vine and YouTube and the international circuit, is coming to the Gila River Arena as part of his tour, aptly named “The Tour.” Check out his mix of R&B soul and acoustic sensibilities for an intimate night of relaxing, chill-out music celebrating his third album, the self-titled Shawn Mendes.



July 19th

Crescent Ballroom

Yungblud is a bit of a conundrum. This rock and pop star come to the United States from England, bringing a harder edge to traditional pop-rock with catchy protest songs and a middle finger in the air of genteel society. Yungblud comes to the Crescent Ballroom on July 19th to play music for those who want equal parts dance and outrage.



21 Savage in Phoenix Arizona

Comerica Theater

Nothing simply like an arrest for a Visa violation is going to keep 21 Savage from Phoenix. After his much-publicized arrest and deportation, 21 Savage is back in Arizona. With the release of his album I Am > I Was (featuring guests like Post Malone and Childish Gambino), 21 Savage is tearing up the U.S. tour circuit. Catch him at the Comerica Theater on July 16th.

The former Lil’ Tim has come a long way over the past few years. After a childhood of minimum wage jobs and crime, Mozzy decided to follow a full-time career in music in 2010. Only 5 years later, he would be recognized by Rolling Stone as having one of the best hip-hop albums of the year. This year, Mozzy comes to The Pressroom to bring true hip-hop to Phoenix.
