With some of the best and funniest comedians in the country coming to the valley, it is no wonder that many of the regular concert halls and comedy clubs that house these acts start selling out during the summer.
Here, we’ll cover the top 5 (in no particular order) of the funniest comedians coming to Phoenix, AZ events in 2019. Note that these are only 5 of the acts, so if you have a serious need to scratch your funny bone, check out some of these venues to learn more.
Comerica Theater
August 3rd
“Weird Al” Yankovic is one of the legends of comedy, music, and parody. After making a career out of taking the air out of acts like Michael Jackson, Coolio, and Madonna, Yankovic had a career resurgence with hits like “Tacky” and “The Hamilton Polka” and is now touring with a string band for the Strings Attached tour. Hear some of his biggest hits old and new with an orchestral backing at the Comerica Theater on August 3rd.
Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy
August 1st and 2nd
T.J. Miller has slowly made a name for himself in popular culture through a string of successful TV and Movie appearances. After a career in stand up, he made a name for himself in the hit TV show Silicon Valley and then jumped into the mega-hit superhero movie Deadpool. Phoenix residents can see some of the reasons he is one of the hottest comedians today. He’ll be appearing at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy August 1st and 2nd for three appearances.

August 30th
Jeff Foxworthy is a legend in standup comedy. Landing a viral hit (before “viral” was a thing) with his redneck comedy and sensibilities, Jeff Foxworthy has stayed on the radar with his regular touring schedule and TV appearances. When he isn’t doing standup, he’s hosting shows like Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader and The American Bible Challenge. He brings his standup comedy to the Talking Stick Resort on Friday, August 30th for a one-time only show.
Stand Up Live
August 30th – September 1st
Mike Epps has been showing up in movies and TV for years. With start-turning rolls in movies like the Friday sequels and The Hangover, Epps has been showing off his comedic chops as a character actor while expanding into more serious roles with parts in Resident Evil. Epps brings his unique and rapid-fire comedy to Stand Up Live on August 30th through September 1st with five shows.
Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino
August 3rd
George Lopez has done it all. A legend in stand up, George parlayed his success into TV shows, movies, philanthropy, and even his own restaurant, Chingon Kitchen, in California. However, he hasn’t stopped doing what he loves, and is currently touring the country as part of his 2019 U.S. tour. Catch George Lopez at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino on August 3rd for two separate shows.
