If you’re looking for a great music festival to go to in Downtown Phoenix this July, attending Trapfest is a must. Both Relentless Beats and CrowdSurf Concerts have come together again are taking Trapfest back to Arizona with a show on July 27th in Tucson and a show on July 28th in Downtown Phoenix. With two nights featuring some of the hottest trap artists on the market right now, it is a must-attend.
We almost fell on our faces when we saw this year’s lineup! Because we know that picking the best artists to see can be stressful in any festival situation, we’ve made a small list to help you out:
Who To See
The major artist the Trapfest line-up is the one-of-a-kind, genre-bending electro duo, Boombox Cartel. They’re heading both nights alongside a variety of serious trap and bass artists, including Bro Safari, Green Lantern, Ookay, Silkdope, Troyboi, 4B, and many more.
Boombox Cartel played at last year’s Trapfest, as well as the Phoenix Lights festival last April. Though he was situated at one of the smaller stages, he easily gave one of the most memorable performances of the entire festival. Ask most anyone that was there and they’ll tell you that Boombox Cartel threw down harder than anyone else on the lineup. It’s pretty obvious why Relentless Beats named Boombox Cartel their headliner for Trapfest and it is exactly why they’re a must-see.
Arizona trap fans talk about this festival all year long and fans are always on the edge of their seats waiting for the year’s lineup. It’s a counter-culture festival that is like no other in the state of Arizona. The most exciting thing about this year’s Trapfest is that it has been brought to a new venue: The Van Buren. The Van Buren is an 1800-capacity venue and one of Phoenix’s best, new party spots.
If you decide to go to Tucson, you’ll be hitting the Rialto Theatre, a theatre that is pretty familiar with the massive parties that the team at Relentless Beats throw. It’s not as large as the venue over in Downtown Phoenix, though some may like the more intimate-experience with the packed crowds.
If you’re looking to score some tickets to Trapfest, you can get the General Admission passes this Friday, June 7th, at 10am. These passes will go for $45 before fees. If you want to get VIP passes that come complete with mezzanine seating on the high deck and early entry, you can purchase those for $70 before fees.
While the event is an 18-and-over even, the VIP passes are for 21+ only. You can see ticket prices and purchase them at www.trapfest.com. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for any lineup changes and information in the following weeks! If you feel like you can handle the ultimate, back to back trap party, get yourself tickets to both nights! We hope to see you getting down with your bad self at Trapfest 2019!
